Individual Repentance

Dear God: Your word says that we only need to have Faith the size of a mustard seed to move mountains. I am offering up my seed of Faith to you today. That is all I am able to bring to You but I am trusting You to use it to move the mountains in my life. The Bible says:

without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
~Hebrews 11:6

I confess that I am a sinner, that I have not lived with the proper relationship towards you and towards others. I have sinned in both word and deed. I have sinned by omission and commission. I humbly beseech you today Father to forgive my sins. Your scripture says:

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
~1 John 1:9

Please hear my confession today O Lord. I have been blind to your love and mercy in my life. I have taken your many blessings for granted. I have been wrong about You and leaned on myself or others instead of You. I have been guilty of wrath, lust, greed, envy, sloth, gluttony and the ultimate sin of Pride.

I know that the Bible teaches me to humble myself, to pray, to confess my sins, to repent and change my actions so as to share in Your Holiness through Your indwelling Holy Spirit. Today I am diligently seeking You, acknowledging my weakness and insufficiency. I believe humble acts move the hand of God and that when we repent, You remove principalities – dark spiritual forces – that are afflicting our lands. You go to battle for us individually and for our nations as we humbly repent and seek Your face. Thank you, Lord, for the privilege of repentance and the joy which follows repentance. We thank you Lord that repentance is the greatest “weapon” we can employ in spiritual warfare because it allows You to gain victory for us.

Please guide me, Lord, as I learn more about You and Your commandments. I welcome the Holy Spirit to lead me in the path of your Righteousness for Your Name’s sake. I want to grow in character to partake Your holiness. I thank you for your goodness and mercy to follow all the days of my life and that I will have Eternal Life with you in Heaven forever.
