National Day of Repentance USA April 30, 2016

30 on 30

Are you grieved for our nation’s spiritual health?

The Lord looks to me and you as His people called by His name so that He can heal our land. If we humble ourselves, and pray, and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways He will hear from heaven, forgive sin and heal our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Can you set aside 30 minutes on the 30th of April? Join thousands who will take at least 30 minutes on the 30th of April not just to pray but humbly to repent.

Like Daniel, it’s time to repent for personal and national sins.

Extraordinary times are upon us. Catastrophes abound, as predicted in Scripture. The souls of our once Christian nations, our Jude-Christian roots, are at stake.

The Lord is shaking all that can be shaken so that His Kingdom alone remains. And in the midst of this shaking, our Living God gives us the Way to respond: for those who don’t yet know Christ: repent and believe in Him as Savior. For those already Christians: remove the old sin patterns, avoid apostasy and lukewarmness, and partake of His Holiness through prayer, fasting and repentance.

Prayer is vital but repentance is key. The Risen Christ in Revelation 3:19-21 tells us: “ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

When His people called by His name humble themselves and pray and seek His face and then, one by one or in a sacred assembly, take the life-changing step to sincerely repent, to “turn from their wicked ways” the Lord THEN will hear from heaven, forgive sins and heal the land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Setting aside a day of “humiliation, fasting and prayer” was a strategic “spiritual weapon” used by our founders to enable the Lord to take on and win the battle for Liberty and to found and bless our land. In 1774 such a day protected unarmed Boston citizens from British warships in their harbor. In 1799 such a day called by President Adams allowed the Lord to intervene to stop a war with France. In 1849 President Tyler’s call for such a day of “humiliation, fasting and prayer” stopped a catastrophic typhoid epidemic. In 1863 President Lincoln’s call on April 30 for a national day of humiliation, fasting and prayer allowed the Lord to bring the horrific Civil War to a close. In 1918 a national day of humiliation, fasting and prayer quickened the end of World War 1.

We don’t have to wait for a President or Congress to declare such a day. On April 30, 2016, for the fifth year in a row, National Day of Repentance, a volunteer Christian ministry founded by pastors, is declaring a grassroots “sacred assembly” calling believers in Christ to take some time that day, individually or in groups, to pray, fast and repent personally and for our nation.

No major logistics, expense, or travel is involved. Simply mark your calendar now for April 30, inform your pastor and your networks, set aside time that day privately or in a group not just for prayer and fasting but for personal repentance. During your repentance time repent also for our national sins including, but not limited to, killing of the unborn, idolatry, sanctifying sexual perversions, and failing to stand with His chosen people, Israel.

Intercessors in other nations will join us in their time zone on April 30, including those in France and Malawi who have recently had their national days of repentance.

This we know: if we His people, called by His name, humble ourselves, and pray and seek His face, and truly turn from our wicked ways, repenting, choosing His path of Purity, the Lord will do His part and will hear from heaven, forgive sins and heal our land.

Join us. Please spread the news through your networks so that many thousands of Christians can participate in this key event.
